When two people are hosting a house party, if one host wants to invite a guest that the other host does not like or want in their home, it is generally accepted that the guest is not invited. The one host wanting the guest to come does not overshadow the other host being uncomfortable with someone in their home. The guest list should only comprise of people both hosts are comfortable sharing their dinner table with.
This should be the central thought process of immigration.
