From what I gather from nostr is, it works how you want it to work (decentralized ), but you have to be willing to put in the work, setup your own network or relay, page, domains, much more. At this point, the options are endless and if you don't take control, like
jack (npub1sg6…f63m) said about Twitter to Congress, "If you don't choose, the algorithms will choose for you." Although, nostr is not the same, there are still algorithms involved and people controlling them similar to a centralized network because an elite group is still in control (centralized).
