According to the Federal Reserve, the U.S. money supply (which includes currency in circulation and commercial bank deposits) increased by nearly 10% between 2019 and 2021. This increase can be partly attributed to the federal stimulus packages implemented as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to an increase in the amount of money printing.
