Frustrates me to no end how Mastodon (the community? the software? both?) fumbled the ball on the initial twitter exodus. I also had a bad experience and left, ofc. I came back. Most of 'em who didn't understand and had no help, or had a bad interpersonal experience, will not. Some will IF we're loud raving fans, with vibrant local server goings-on that elicit some FOMO.
