There are roughly 150 armed rebel groups in the North and South Kivu province of the DRC. These groups are funded by many many countries, mainly the West, using Rwanda as a vector, so that they can extract critical resources in the seemingly only way they know how.
These rebel groups have taken over the city of Goma, as well as ports and other key transport areas, and are earning up to 40% on the extracted logistics.
This needs to end.
Already 14 SANDF soldiers have been killed trying to protect Goma from the advance of these Western-backed rebels.
SANDF budget is going to be increased, more armaments, maintenance etc.
Not only do we have national interest mines in the area (both individually politcally motivated and state-owned) and thus, like in Mozam, we will respond.
