One of the things that feels imposing about reading is that I'm afraid I'll miss a detail here and there that ends up being very important. How You Lose the Time War felt like poetry--the details were not as important as the feeling they were conveying.
Yet because of that, I found myself paying more attention to detail than I normally would--because I enjoyed it, not because it was important.
I started the book at 11PM and considered staying up all night to finish it. #books #scifi
