It is not as simple as you put it, but there is much truth to the post. Even on quiet evenings, we have armed police making a show of their weapons in the town square. A few years ago, they would have their weapons in their viechles, and we would rarely see an officer with a pistol. Now, it has become routine, yet they seem to serve no purpose other than to say - look at me.
