As a plugin developer you get an update a week before the release saying "here is the next version of WordPress, here's what's changed".
I went away for the weekend and put an Out of Office on, and this email arrived during that period. I got a reply (paraphrasing) "We're receiving OOO replies, please remove this or we'll close your plugin"....
