Indeed, but my followers aren't necessarily following me for that content. Of course, I should post whatever I want to post and not tailor my content for my followers. But it doesn't hurt to be mindful of it.

If it's on a separate instance however, then those who follow me there would be doing so specifically for that content. That way, I'm not polluting my follower's timelines with content they're not interested in.
