Sometimes you only need an extra 12 inches. Hell, most days I'd settle for only an extra 4!
They're handy to fit onto multi-port surge protectors if they're tucked back but you have that *one* port that you're constantly plugging and unplugging stuff from. They're also great for getting those fat wall warts away so that you can access the other 3 nema plugs it is hiding.
Again, no particular brand recommendation. Chyna.
