Dinner tonight is a simplicity. Seasoned fillet of "coaley"* in lemon butter w/ capers, w/ crispy potatoes sautéed in butter w/ garlic and chilli flakes, and gone a bit avant-garde with a slice of black pudding**.
Reminds me of home, but only in a very faint shadow of a way. Sigh.
* A very English fish, first time I've had it… about as bland as cod — even skin-on. But nice texture, held well, cooked well.
** Mainly as I spotted it in the freezer and felt the volume of dinner needed a boost.
