I had to tell a heterosexual this morning: in the 90s, people could get fired for being queer but most generally found it distateful, whereas now in Texas and Florida it is mandated by the state. It is *WORSE* and far more so for trans folk. They had no idea. The media is failing its public duty to inform the public. Unless they go digging for small buried stories about the pogrom against us, they have no idea because editors refuse to front-page this. It’s horrifying.
