Seriously though, I saw what's his phone reviews face talking about having the tesla solar system for a year.
He seemed to get by with about 27kw in New Jersey year round. Also charging an electric car.
So you'll need a pretty big system if you're trying to offset that, and the return will take around 10 years. Assuming batteries, if no batteries, then probably less than 5 years.
