This is the entertainment-centric mentality I want to move nostr (or, at least Coracle) away from. It doesn't matter to me that my feed is always fresh whenever I open it — this is one of those "dark patterns" legacy social media implements. Ironically, nostr does a better job than twitter or youtube and giving you new stuff whenever you open your app because of the use of reverse-chronological feeds.
Anyway, the model I want to move to is one in which "reading everything" is possible, or at least a reasonable thing to do. One in which interaction is a result of interest, rather than boredom. In this model, you would never miss the content you really want to see, and less important content would be put into a digest or filtered using algorithms.
