Crohn's is not curable. But with the right drugs it can go into remission. The drugs are immunosuppressants, designed to de-activate whatever part of my immune system decided attacking my colon was a good idea. As long as I take the drugs (moving to home injections every 8 weeks), I will not have symptoms (or open bloody lesions in my colon). I will eventually develop antibodies to it and have symptoms again; if society still functions by then, I will have to try different drugs to find a new one that works.
