Gold didn’t fail. We, as society, needed something that could grow infinitely in value while maintaining scale of value without running away. Those two things can’t happen which is why we’re seeing the increasing frequency of financial meltdowns. This will happen to all forms of currency as long as we think we can get everything for nothing.
Even #bitcoin.
