Writing a post on the Fediverse is like writing a note, putting it into a bottle, and chucking it into the ocean.
There is a sense of wonder - about who in that vast ocean may discover that note and some curiosity about what they do with it. It could be good or bad. You don't get to set that precedence. You set it free the second it left your fingers.
Lots of notes go unnoticed. Some get pinned to someone's wall. Some get copied and shared and told as stories for generations to come.
The beauty of it all is the vastness, the unknown, the happenstance and chance of it all.
