Problem with fundies is that they're taught their culture has a monopoly on goodness and virtue. And once you get to thinking that you are, by the nature of your beliefs and the culture you're immersed in, inherently good, and everyone who doesn't agree with you is inherently not, it's mighty easy to convince yourself that nothing is legitimately off the table in terms of your actions.
It's not so much that fundies make the best fascists, but their worldview makes fascism an attractive option.
