I think that's mostly because of the way ActivityPub works. It's all by follow relationships so if you're not on an instance that has like 3k-5k+ users, you see the same people. Hopefully this changes over time as the protocol evolves and the platform grows naturally. There are people from Threads that know about Fedi now and are interested. This will definitely continue. At what rate, I don't know, but from now on, it won't be 0. Someone new will always be looking into it now.
