⚡️🇪🇸 The Spanish police arrested three Britons for kidnapping a crypto trader in Marbella.

The victim had accepted an invitation to an apartment in the nearby resort of Estepona, where the kidnappers set a trap for him.

The three criminals demanded a ransom of £25,000 in crypto.

The victim pretended to call someone who had the second part of his crypto seed phrase, but while talking, he revealed to his friend that he was being held against his will.

The police were then alerted and quickly located the apartment where he was being held.

As officers prepared for an assault, the kidnapped man took advantage of his captors' lack of vigilance to escape.

He jumped from a balcony, injuring his ankles in the fall...

"During the police operation set up to locate the apartment, officers saw several nervous men going back and forth between the inside of the property and an outdoor terrace. Moments later, they saw another man who turned out to be the kidnapping victim jumping from the terrace to the ground. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries."

The police shared images of the assault, showing the perpetrators trying to flee in an Audi.

"Two firearms hidden in kitchen cabinets, nearly €10,000, a money counting machine, three knives including a butterfly knife, two designer watches, and 25 grams of pink cocaine along with a scale were found during a search of the apartment."

The criminals were all placed in provisional detention after appearing in court.
