I had to get out of the thick of it because it was starting to destroy my sanity and relationships. I went from being politically active and an activist to blocking almost all discussion of politics.

I'm in a better place to dip my toes back in but, really, I can't stand most political parties and politicians. Now it's just a matter of accepting that I can't change anything except, maybe, at the local level and living my principles the best way I can.
