They cut grass. Keep the oil and air filter changed. In the off-season you can put a trickle charger on the battery.

Some of those mowers eat belts. Order it from somewhere affordable and keep a spare. My dad had a mower that was similar and had to change the belt about once a year. I hated that but otherwise thought the mower was okay.

Around here a lot of people are going to zero turn mowers.
