I was reading up on this case today. In 2022 a 39-year-old white man in the US was arrested after the one surviving victim, a young Black woman aged 22, escaped.
Timothy Haslett had been kidnapping, raping, torturing and murdering Black women. When concerned loved ones of the missing women told police there was serial killers targeting Black women, they were told their fears were unfounded. But there was a serial killer. He believes he is entitled to torture, rape and murder Black women.
His surviving victim was able to escape one morning when he took his child to school. Haslett was also supportive of white supremacist groups and aggressive "policing" of Black communities. What I cannot understand is why someone who believes in white supremacy would be interested in sex woth a Black person. But that's an aside.
So I knew all that. He's confessed. I don't know of he's been sentenced. Media supposedly has tried to hide this. No riots or great protests for the women he murdered.
But I only learned today that Haslett also liked to cross-dress while raping his victims.
