They are still likely largely correct. I recall reading personal vehicles are at rest around 95% of the time they exist (some article about how car insurance rates were calculated and weighted). Ride share platforms have also incentivized substantial overlapping resource consumption (idling cars waiting for fares at airports and major events burning gas, wearing down mechanical components per vehicle, etc.) and additional traffic congestion resulting from those extra drivers as larger scale consequences of being designed for rider convenience as a paramount objective. Just a counterpoint to consider.
