"content": "I quite like the Republic of Ireland’s motorways—helpfully arranged like spokes connecting cities to Dublin. This is my second time using the M6 — 124 miles E-W connecting Galway and Dublin coast to coast. And it struck me today that the M6 is like England’s M6 felt when it was new, fifty years ago. It’s quiet. The English M6 these days is crowded dystopian nightmare.
