About bloody time. Those countries relying on it have had long enough to get their act together in my view. Security experts have been saying for years that EU countries are going to be next once the Ukraine war comes to a halt.The last thing you want in a "warm war" is for your energy infrastructure to depend on the enemy.
Frankly all Western European countries should have been building the crap out of renewables since the annexation of Crimea for this reason alone.
