My aunt and uncle have a dog (on property where I live, so i see the dog a lot) that repeatedly violates my boundaries I've tried to set with him. He greets me happily but insists on sticking his snoot on my skirts EVERY TIME. This causes instantaneous anxiety and stress.
I LOVE dogs, but there are boundaries not often observed by dogs. I firmly tell him no and consequently end up doing a jumpish thing out of the way. Ive tried to get him to sit when he sees me because then I'd be more likely to pet him, instead i just get worked up and stressed out. All i want is for him to keep his snoot out of my business.
He doesn't understand though, and he's just a big dummy.
