Seems like the more we dive into this story, the more interesting and complex it becomes.
Some of these guys really seem to have severe mental and social problems, including violence, acc. to the press. From a court's view, they did not stop their "illegal" actions. From a business view, they caused a lot of harm and spent a lot of effort in this, knowingly. And then there is the extortion - which makes it a felony, no matter all of the above, I guess.
