Ok, so I was thinking of the 12" MacBook from 2015. Apparently there was an earlier line of machines also just called "MacBook" which was retired in 2012.
Also that 12" MacBook was probably the reason we had those godawful butterfly keyboards for a hot minute. Wow, well anyways, glad that chapter is behind us.
