Absolutely no idea how this can be interpreted as a "threat" - putting the borderline senile President on the stand, who is partly impugned by the corruption charges #Hunter faces, sounds like a catastrophe waiting to happen.

The President's people are probably doing everything in their power behind the scenes to make sure that this does not happen - not only do they not want him associated with Hunter, but the guy is a gaff a minute speaker who drifts into strange, hallucinatory recountings of past events. The guy would be facing a criminal trial if he was held to the same standards as conservatives and they put him on the stand...
