It’s not ALL fake you know, we can’t completely surely have the whole history of oppression of various groups rewritten, and if you’ve ever lived as someone in a group historically and often presently oppressed in some way you get to know how it affects you. Eg as a woman I’m quite sure I’m a lot more unsafe out walking in my own at night etc than a big beefy man. And disrespect, hateful anti feminist speech naturally does enable people more so to develop beliefs that women are degradable etc and weak etc etc more likely to be targeted. Shit happens, and I’m sure much of the minority issues are very real but I’m also sure both ends of the political spectrum may essentially try to manipulate this and weaponise it for their own gains. That’s what we have to be aware of, from BOTH the left and right I believe…we can try to give some kind of empathy to others without politicising it so much
