Hey Nostr!
On January 15th it will be a year of me joining this community. I learnt a lot from you and I feel privileged to witness you build a new technology.
Now I have my thoughts about Nostr and they are not always the most popular but I respect what you're trying to do here. If I have one advice (or wish) to give you is to keep fighting. Don't give up on Nostr! Don't give up on BTC! Don't give up on building anything that would give the masses freedom! And don't give up on America!
Why am I saying don't give up on America? Because for the past couple of years (post Covid) I have been witnessing more and more Americans leaving the US. Trashing how life here sucks and it's better anywhere outside.
As an immigrant I can promise you that life outside isn't any different from here and in many instances it's way worst.
If you want to build something, if you really want to make a change in the world you have to be in America.
It's easy to leave. I know I have done it twice. I left Morocco to go to Canada. Then left Canada for the US (For different reasons). Many times I look back and ask myself, what if I stayed? What if I fought for what I believed in and built my country instead of going through all this? And my mentality changed thanks to Americans. YOU taught me to fight and build. YOU taught me that everything is possible. YOU taught me to dream. At the end of the day this is the land of the free and the brave, isn't it? So be free and be brave. Stay and build.
I'm saying all this because I saw a post on Twitter from a page of someone that always degrades the US and encourages ppl to leave. They try to make it sound like it's the coolest new thing. When in reality it's just cowardice and giving up. I know because I did it first.
If you consider yourself a freedom fighter, the biggest fight is here. If we lose America the rest of the world will go crazier.
And if you're not American, fight where you are no matter how hard it is.
P.S: When something breaks we fix it. We take care of it. We don't throw it or run away.
I guess this is my last post for 2023 and my wish for 2024 is that we unite even more and we build even better. God bless you! Go bless the US! And Happy new year!
