Israel claims to want to “wipe out” Hamas, and is willing to destroy much of the civilian population of Gaza to do so. Do they not understand that a significant fraction of the survivors will loathe them with an intimately personal fury Hamas could never dream of, and will rise against them in tenfold hate for many decades to come?
