in fact lovecraft's 'concepts' are, like most nightmares, mostly silly when taken out of their original context, & every attempt to 'develop' lovecraft has sucked deep ass or been at best a mildly interesting postmodern parody hampered by not knowing what 'postmodern' is, and based in either case on reification of superficial aesthetic signifiers (ooh it has tentacles. ooga booga!!)
