At our workplace, our software has a place for us to enter our own career goals. Our boss literally wrote and entered these for us without us even knowing. It was intensely weird to log in one day to see a bunch of your career goals in there that you don't remember writing! Best of all, more than one of them was basically "make more money" worded differently, eg "Increase sales" "Add to company revenue" "Increase contribution bonus" (which is earned by increasing sales) 🙄
