I have left-leaning friends who say things like "but a lot Republicans hate Trump's crap, certainly they'll come to their senses." I don't think you understand that they may not like Trump, but they'll vote Republican because they never vote Democrat. Kind of like how there is this movement where some on the Left are saying "we need to focus on Biden, even if we don't like him." The Right tend to get their shit together and simply agree to vote on the candidate. If it's Trump, for them this is still better than whoever the Left has running.
