Unfortunately, Trump isn't going to cough up the modern air force. The rest of NATO should be modernizing their air forces, and sending Ukraine the old stuff, ASAP... or at least looking for ways that Ukraine can have more range on their ground-to-air missiles, to keep Russian air at bay.
