At the hotel bar in Hveragerði, I had this Berliner Weiße made with a Skyr culture. I was super impressed. It smelled yoghurty and had a complex flavor that ranged from Skyr over a slight winyness to berry notes. A touch of grain from hard water in the finish but what a beer!
Went to the brewery Ölverk the next day and had pizza there. Lovely place, they use geothermal energy for their brewing. I brought two cans of this beer and a fan shirt because this is the kind of stuff I love to see!
