The problem disappeared when I installed a beta of iOS 16 and used a newly created test iCloud account. The account had no HomeKit accessories. The battery started to last like forever. When iOS 16 was publicly released, I reset the iPad and used my iCloud account. HomeKit started to drain the battery again. Now I'm at 24 hours after removing "My Home" and the battery just dropped to 99%. It was never the case. Surprisingly, I still see battery consumption from "Home Accessories". I will keep an eye on that
