So yesterday, outside at the honey cart, a bug/moth flew in my ear. It was buffering around for a bit and I didn’t want to kill it, but obviously tried to extract it, but couldn’t feel/see it leave. I knew it wasn’t a bee by the sound of its flight. After quite an uncomfortable 5 or so minutes, I punted and poured a capful of hydrogen peroxide on my ear over the sink. Swishing movements, but no bug exit visible when I immediately emptied peroxide. Bug clearly inspecting the premises. So did half a cup of warm water in ear next, immediately emptying. No evidence of bug in the sink. So, work must be completed, went to do so at the computer. Seconds into that, a disturbance like water draining out of my ear or something occurs. Still no evidence of bug, no water either, also no pain, inflammation.

I am fine today, but wondering if I should do something else to be sure the bug is not making its home in my skull? Kingbee looked and saw nothing, but couldn’t see far into the ear canal. In all my years of camping, lying on bare grass, I have never had such an invasion.
