This was probably obvious to you long ago, but I realized yesterday that—besides eschatology—another reason for Republican affinity for Likud is that both Likud and the GOP are trying to preserve and harden apartheid ethnostates: The two parties fundamentally get each other on the level of ethnic division and privilege.
