Drenched in sweat from the simple task of loading bags of gifts, snacks, towels and swimming gear into the car, my son and I pause to sniff the air. The street is fragrant with the smell of a dozen barbecues as neighbours prepare for Christmas lunch, while we pile into the wagon to set sail for The Sibling With The Pool.
