Saw a post on scots mastodon about "the Black Gaels" and thought it was interesting. I then went down a rabbit hole of learning about these Gaelic speaking twins from Cape Breton who probably inspired a Kipling character. At one point I was watching a YouTube video of a 1997 historical society presentation where they were playing a cassette tape that was much older. The image I saw w/ the post was, sadly AI-generated and will probably be the one everyone thinks is real
