When Keir Starmer says he & Rachel Reeves are going to be 'ruthless' in turning around the Govt.'s fiscal position, you'd hope that they're going to go after serial tax avoiders & look at private sector milking of public contracts; but I suspect the people they're going to (really) be ruthless with are benefits claimants & public service staff...
All the talk of 'difficult decisions' & 'ruthlessness' always seems to end up focussed on the weak & vulnerable not the rich & powerful...
