I tend to agree. But I have a sneaking suspicion that their most valuable/interesting use case is yet to be discovered.

For example, I keep waiting for a gaming company to make use of them somehow. Maybe NFTs could be used for a digital trading card game similar to Magic the Gathering or Pokémon. A player could use the cards in online play, and trade/sell them just like people do IRL.

I have no interest in monkey jpegs though…
