Some of you may not realize this, but the Clarence Thomas you see on the court now is a new emboldened version, an Uncle Thomas 2.0. Back in the 90s I knew a woman who clerked for the Supreme Court and sat in on all the cases. She said Thomas said nothing and just sat there (digging in his nose, btw). He has become way too comfortable these days; he thinks he's untouchable (and he's probably right).
