The whole AI in Figma debacle has left a really bad taste in my mouth. I've loved using Figma as a design tool all these years - there are so many little interactions that make it low friction and delightful to use. However, like with Adobe's push to generative AI, it no longer feels like it's aimed at me - it only wants to enable me to work so that it can plagiarise it and regurgitate out again for others who can't be bothered. The fact that it's opt-out rather than in shows their priorities.
