I think this would be a necessity to reduce friction. It'd need to be something as simple as click to install that also calls that API so the user doesn't have to do much. Even then I think it's a large ask for new users to be forced on open to download another app just to use the one they originally intended.

I'd think it'd be better to have a one click export key to Amber call that would let them start with a local key on Amethyst and then export to Amber after they decide if the nostr experience is going to be worth keeping Amethyst on their phone in the first place. Getting over that first adoption hurdle is going to be more important than key security for most new users.
