Uh, no…. That’s how you affect change and create accountability for the externalities of selling a vehicle that will burn gas for the next 15 to 20 years. You make it more expensive to pollute than to innovate and modernize. It’s the pinnacle of capitalism — modifying the market to alter the profitability equation to cause positive change.
Tesla (despite all the perfectly valid reasons to hate them and their CEO) are benefitting by doing the right thing.
