per blacktop's iOS 18.3.1 diff, Apple added a new error message to an accessibility framework, stating "Not showing USB restricted mode alert because device is locked".

I'm guessing the alert it refers to is the
"Adding a Braille display USB accessory will allow other USB accessories to connect even when your iPhone is locked. You can change this in Settings."
/
"Adding a Switch Control USB accessory will allow other USB accessories to connect even when your iPhone is locked. You can change this in Settings."
you get when you plug in a Braille / Switch Control accessory:

So is this just to keep the phone out of USB Restricted Mode so that it doesn't lock out the USB after an hour, like how ElcomSoft used the Lightning->HDMI adapter back in 2018 (https://blog.elcomsoft.com/2018/07/this-9-device-can-defeat-ios-usb-restricted-mode/)?
Or is this in itself some kind of attack?
